Trading Quest[]
The trading quest is required to unlock the door on the west side of Mushroom Forest and the treasure chest in Midnight Town's flower shop, in order to obtain two of the three gems. The locks are opened using the Golden Key acquired from Brown Mage at the very end of the trading quest.
- A Flower Pot is obtained from Green Mage while progressing through Mushroom Forest the first time.
- Give the Flower Pot to the Shopkeeper for the Frisbee Hat.
- Give the Frisbee Hat to the Trash Can for Toilet Paper. Alternatively, if the player has their arm, they can kill the Trash Can to obtain the Toilet Paper.
- A Cake is obtained by completing Vampire's Obstacle Course in the Cart Carnival under 34.5 seconds.
- Give the Cake to the Stone Guardian in Midnight Town for a Fishing Hook. Alternatively, if the player has their arm, they can attack the Stone Guardian to obtain the Fishing Hook.
- Give the Fishing Hook to the Goldfish in Midnight Town for a Nice Stick.
- Batteries are obtained from the broken car in the Desert.
- Talk with Brown Mage in Midnight Town to give them the Toilet Paper and the Batteries in order to reach their house. At their house, give them the Nice Stick. In return, Brown Mage gives the player the Golden Key.
